Studying the Canine Brain

My visit with the Canine Brains Lab at Harvard University

How much do you know about the canine brain? During my visit to Harvard last week, I had the pleasure of spending time in the Canine Brains Lab with Professor Erin Hecht. Professor Hecht explained that their lab studies dog behavior and brains to understand what makes dogs do the things they do. They’ve conducted MRI scans on working dogs, service dogs, guide dogs, dogs that have bonds with kids, dogs with reactivity issues – you name it.
