My first ever tour with Live Nation is only a week away, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve never done something like this before, but I know it’s going to be a really special experience. I’ve spent months working on this show, and I wanted to talk a little bit about what people can expect when they come out for Dog Nation.
It was important to me to use this opportunity to help dogs in need, so I’m thrilled to have Best Friends Animal Society partnering with me to make that happen! At the start of each show, we’ll be bringing adoptable dogs from local shelters up on stage. I’ll chat with their handler about the dogs’ backstories, and what their ideal home might look like.
Then for some fun – I’m going to be doing a live Dogist demonstration! I’ll take some photos of the adoptable dogs using my trademark attention-grabbing noises, and we’ll feature the photos I’m taking on a screen in real time. We’ll post the photos on Instagram, too, so hopefully their brand new glamour shots can help them get adopted!
The next segment is one that’s special to me, because it was inspired by my new book, This Dog Will Change Your Life. I’m going to be bringing members of The Dogist community on stage, and they’re going to share with the audience how their dog has changed their life. And the best part – their incredible pups will be up there with them! I’m really looking forward to talking to these community members about their dogs. If there’s one thing we can all relate to, it’s that no matter how big or small the impact, our dogs have affected our lives in the best ways.
To close out the show, I’m going to have special guests join me for a fireside chat so we can talk all things dogs (because we can never really get enough of that, can we?)! To name a few, we’ll have Taylor Hill joining me in Philly, and Maggie Lawson chatting with me in Chicago.
I feel so lucky to be able to travel around the country and meet so many members of The Dogist community. We’re all here because of our love for dogs, and that’s always something that should be celebrated! I hope you’re able to make it to one of my shows!
I was sorry to see your Austin show was canceled as I had purchased tickets for it. No reason was ever given as to why it was unfortunately.
Best of luck and hope you have lots of fun on your tour.
Sorry to be missing you in Philly
